Our objective is to educate the community and implement thorough genetic carrier screening for all known Ashkenazic, Sephardic and Mizrachic genetic diseases.

Prior to dating we had completed testing with the globally recognized organization Dor Yeshorim. We were thankful when they declared us ‘genetically compatible’ and we were given the go ahead to get married. However, at the end of April 2015 - a week after our son Eli was born, we almost lost him to a known Ashkenazic genetic disease. We were obviously in shock since we were under the assumption that we had been ‘thoroughly tested’ prior to marriage.
